Free SAV for Mac Lock Problem

Program lock does not remain locked after shut-down.  After each start lock must be manually locked in Preferences.  Is this normal.  If not, how to fix it?  :)

    I'm havin the same problem in OS X Lion 10.7.4 and Sophos AV 8.0.4C. This has become a permanent issue in Sohpos 8 - whereas in ealier releases this would usually pass "after a while" (for whatever reason). Isn't this a fatal security issue?

    I have the same issue and have deleted all preference files and uninstalled and reinstalled the Sophos Anti-virus software, but the issue persists. Is something conflicting with the software to cause the preferences lock to fail to stay locked or is there a problem with the software that requires an update? Will an update be released to resolve this problem if it is indeed an issue with the application. Please let us know whether it is fixable or whether we shall just have to ignore it altogether.
