Virus Updates Downloads for Mac Home Edition

I don't have a direct answer to the question you're posting, but I would like to say that the current version of Sophos AV for Mac is 7.3.1C. So you shouldn't only be concerned about virus definitions, the threat detection engine gets updated about once a month (currently at 3.21.0).

My point is, an AV is a lot less useful if it's not frequently updated, and that's not just for virus definition files.

Thanks.  I hate to be a dweeb, but are the IDE files for both Mac and Windows versions?  I do get your point on updating the entire AV as well.

You'll have to use the zip version and not the self-extractor, obviously, and the 'version' has to match the 'Threat data' version in Sophos AV About box.
