unable to install sophos

 i keep getting this message

"The installer cannot connect to Sophos, although your Mac appears to be connected to the internet. Please check your network settings and click Continue again"

any solutions? my internet connection is working normally

    I have the same problem , and  I dont have wifi, just ethernet

    Hi,

    Our auto-update component is expecting to reach the internet via your default Ethernet connection, using the default proxy settings. Does your internet provider require any "login page" or special checks when using a web browser? The code just does a pretty simple HTTP connection, using your normal DNS provider to resolve hostnames. If you web browser works then so should we.

    Depending on your ambitions, you might try installing Wireshark to trace (at the network level) what is happening when we try to connect to our servers. You will need to sift through quite a bit of information, and with a little bit of sleuthing you should be able to determine is going wrong.
