How do I ignore scanning my Time capsule?

How do I stop Sophos Anti-Virys from automatically scanning my Time Capsule?  It has over seven-and-a-half million files on it, and would take an ETERNITY to scan, so how do I stop it automatically scanning the Time Capsule?

    My Time Capsule  is in another room, and is connected through ethernet.

    Despote trying EVERYTHING that I can think of, it ALWAYS scans the 7.7 million files that it finds on y computer AND my Time Capsule.

    I suspect that this is a bug, for a configuration that Sophos did not test (having a Tome Capsule connected over ethernet.
