I recently downloaded the free version of Sophos on my new computer, and ever since it downloaded, I have no internet access at all. I've seen threads on how it affects internet browsers exclusively, however the case for me is that it blocks EVERYTHING!!! It says that I can connect to the internet, and when I try to ping websites (aside from www.microsoft.com), all data pockets just come back normal. I've tried opening apps that aren't web browsers, and they don't work either. The only way I can figure out how to make them work is if I disable the firewall completely. Is there a way to make the firewall NOT shut down my internet access entirely, while still blocking things like dangerous viruses, trojans, etc?
