A while back I had an older version of AV on my Mac. I noticed the machine was slower with it installed and I expected that. However, in comparing the start up speed of my Mac to my wifes identical Mac, the difference got to be too much. That's where I think I messed up. I 'removed' the AV vice deinstalling it.
I would lke to try the current version but won't do that until I have my startup speed restored.
Are there any files and/or startup parameters that I can edit/remove that would have been removed if I had deinstalled it rather than just deleting the software?
Thanks
