No Virus Found

Greetings,

I ran the Sophos Virus Removal Tool yesterday.

But since it was still scanning late in the day,

I left the office. When I returned the next day -

the computer had rebooted, but no sign of Sophos.

Does this mean it did not find any problems ?

Hello ST2,
AFAIK the tool does initiate a reboot. Anyway, it should have written a log, please see the Sophos Virus Removal Tool article for information on where to find it.

Thanks for your reply.
I found the log and one of the entries is listed below
2013-03-13 17:38:22Scan completed.
After this entry, the program ran two more times.
Does it run automatically, or does it require a manual start ?
I think Windows did an update and reboot - which caused
Sophos to close and stop scanning with the last log listed below:

2013-03-14 09:57:13Could not open C:\System Volume Information\{f27dac3 ... with more characters following

I ran the tool again today and saw the final screen -
I got a clean bill of health - PTL !
