Sophos 9.0.6 uninstaller doesn't remove Anti-Virus app

I installed Sophos Anti-Virus 9.0.6 on my iMac ( old intel ) with osx 10.6.8.

I tried to uninstall it with "Remove Sophos Anti-VIrus", located in Applications -folder.

Everything seems to go ok, getting message saying that program is removed. But it's still running, even after restart. Done this several times with same result.

How can I uninstall application completely. I've tried to find solution from this forum, haven't found.

Not common for the uninstaller to not uninstall. Rare in fact. Were there any problems with either the Mac or the installation before you ran the remove Sophos app? Was this an upgrade from an old version of SAV?

Is this what you did?

This thread tries to help when SAV was (or tried to be) removed with AppZapper (there is a script etc.)...
