</Library/Contextual Menu Items/Sophos Anti-Virus.plugin> (not loaded)

While perusing the Console Messages log for something else, I happened upon this error multiple times:

Google Chrome[85012] Cannot find function pointer SUMCMPluginFactory for factory C1DF11E5-FD12-45AD-BBE4-EE058CB88A16 in CFBundle/CFPlugIn 0x1a0e6200 </Library/Contextual Menu Items/Sophos Anti-Virus.plugin> (not loaded)

'Get Info' reveals:

Last opened: Thursday, March 29, 2012 11:08 AM

I know I was able to use this more recently than that.

And even the system only has read and write access.

I tried to add execution privilege but can't. Shouldn't that be an option?

So this is why I'm not seeing 'Scan now with Sophos Anti-Virus' in the Finder context menu without resorting to third-party apps.

Why is this happening? What does Google Chrome have to do with this? How can I fix this?
