When I try to do a scan, after a number of hours it just stops. And when I check the "last update" it has not updated. Two possibilities occur to me:
1) Time Capsule, which updates my backup every hour, could be disabling it. I don't think this is it since it will often run for a number of hours before railing.
2) That kaspersky, which is running in Parallels, is somehow interfering with it. However, I've tried shutting down Parallels completely, and the probelm reoccurs.
Any advise would be greatly appreciated.
