Blue Shield in logo bar

My Sophos 'Shield' is blue not black, does this mean I am not protected? I have just run a scan with no threasts detected ....

  • If not activated (dot under icon) first click and activate te app, then rightclick the blue Sophos icon in your dock. Select "Show Status in Menu Bar"! The BLACK (if on-access scanner is active) / GREY (if on-access scanner in-active)  icon will show in the upper menu bar!!! Good luck :smileyhappy:

If you see a blue shield, you're looking in the Dock while Sophos Anti-Virus.app is running.  The main component of SAV runs in the background all the time, scanning all files you access as they're accessed.  By default, there is a black shield with an S in it in your menu bar (next to your sound volume, WiFi, date and time, spotlight, etc. icons)  if this background protection is running.
