Sophos detects a threat called Xandu and quarrentines it. However the link to the Sophos database returns no results from a search for Xandu. Can anyone tell me what Xandu is? why there is nothing in the database? and how to remove it?

    if it really only said Xandu this must be a very old (mid 1990s) virus. why there is nothing in the database? While "ancient" detections are kept I assume most descriptions haven't been carried over when the database has been migrated (and considering the age of the threat I think there has been more than one migration in the meantime). Guess no one expects it to still exist :smileywink:.

    Guess it won't do any harm - you could try to submit a sample (if on-access blocks the upload temporarily disable on-access), please see also Submit samples of nasty files to Sophos for what to put into the form.
