Sophos for Mac Finds Mal/Iframe-AH How can this be manually removed?

Running Mac OSX 10.8.2

Running Sophos Version 8.0.6C

Sophos website says its a windows issue, I just want to remove and move on.  Anyone else seen this and figured it out?

  • Any time you see Mal/Iframe, it's talking about a malicious iFrame in a web page or HTML-enhanced email.  The target is likely Windows by default (malicious iFrames load a secondary site in a hidden frame inside the legitimate window) , but could be updated to deliver Mac malware to Macs at any time.

The detection will usually show up in your browser cache; you can follow the path at the bottom and manually remove the file by throwing it in the trash -- if it still exists.

In your case, it was detected in the Firefox browser cache.  Your options are to follow the instructions for manual cleanup (the Mac cleanup page on the Sophos website should help here), purge your Firefox cache, or use the Finder to locate and trash the file.
