I'm sorry to report that I had to delete Sophos from my Mac system. Before doing this I noticed that my Mac Mail program no longer displayed image files. I trouble shot the problem with Apple and as a result deleted all of my Settings login files. One of which was Sophos. This did not clear the problem. I then deleted each application and supporting files that formally was listed in my Login Items. I then fully uninstalled Sophos (using the supplied uninstaller ) and then re-downloaded a new copy from your site. I did a safe boot before re-installing Sophos and theimages reappeared. I attempted to install the new copy of Sophos. First the install program indicated some 5 hours for the install to complete. After 12 hours or so, the install program indicated that it needed much more install time. I let it run overnight and this morning the install program indicated that it needed over 130 hours more to complete the install. Meanwhile, I took a look at Mail and the image problem returned. I then force quit the installer.
I have used Sophos for Mac previously with no problems.
I would appreciate someone looking into this problem and advising me as to corrective action. At the present time Sophs is no longer on my system and I will need to restore the Mac OSX system.
