I was affected by the "95% CPU consumed by SophosScanD" problem (see http://openforum.sophos.com/t5/Sophos-Anti-Virus-for-Mac-Home/SophosScanD-process-consuming-up-to-95-CPU/td-p/18785 ).
Since the (automatic) change to SAV HE 9.1.5 last monday evening (Sep 15) now I have a new problem:
When I awake the MacBookPro from sleep and SAV tries to update it normally results in an "Installer Error".
When I try then by hand "Update Sophos" it sometimes works and sometimes not.
When it does not work and I try again by hand "Update Sophos" then it normally works.
Also: If it updates then there is a progress shwon in the "Sophos AutoUpdate Status" window. This progress shows the data loaded e.g. "104MB loaded".
I think this should be kB (not MB) - my internet connection cannot load 100MB in a matter of seconds ;-)
Both behaviours are new and were not present before the changeover to 9.1.5
Currently (and since a few years) I am located in Peru with a (normally rather slow) G3 connection.
Thanks for any advice!
