Hi,
I have just experienced the scheduled Auto Update cause my MacBook Pro running 10.7.3 and it has 4GB of RAM to completely lock up again.
I was in the middle of surfing in Firefox and sending some e-mails from within Outlook and I noticed the machine in general to slow down and then I noticed that Sophos was updating in background. I let it run for a little bit, switched to another desktop to see get an unused desktop, within 2 minutes of doing this and switching back to the previous desktop, using Mission Control I noticed the original desktop was not selectable. I was then unable to select another desktop. As the laptop had completely frozen!!! Forcing me to power off the laptop. I have have a look within the Console logs and again there is nothing logged.
This is practically a repeat of the event that I experienced with Sophos on the 28th of January 2012. This is getting beyond a joke now! The software is not the quality that I expect from Sophos. I can see from looking through this forum that I am not the only person that is experiencing this behavior. I didn't receive an reply to my last posting, which is not good customer service.
Can you please advise on what is going on with the 'Auto Update' component of your software? When it this going to be resolved?
Please advise.
Thanks
