X in Shield

Yesterday, I needed Time Warner Cable to replace my internet router and re-establish the account with a new password. Now there's an X in the shield icon that appears in my menu bar. What does this mean, and how do I get Sophos operational again?

  • Okay, I found the solution -- or at least one solution: Uninstall Sophos and then reinstall it. That means: go to your Applications folder and click on the Sophos uninstaller. It will remove Sophos completely. Then, go to the Sophos/Mac page, download it again and reinstall it. No problemo! :smileyhappy:
