Cleanup Failed...

I have a Macmini running OS10.6.4 with Sophos 9.0.11 and have been experiencing some very slow computer response times. I ran a full Sophos scan and two threats were detected: Troj/BHOFr-Gen and Troj/MyDoomCn-B. However, when I tried to clean these up, it indicated "Cleanup Failed". I also tried to delete the files that had been indicated as being responsible and got the notice: "The operation can’’’’t be completed because backup items can’’’’t be modified."

Can someone suggest the next action I should take to eliminate these files on my Mac and my Time-machine backup? Thanks....J

Lots of post on here about items detected in a backup. If the item is it the backup you can just ignore it and exclude the back ups from future scans (which will speed up the scan) or you can go into Time Machine and delete the items manually.

Lots of post on here about items detected in a backup. If the item is it the backup you can just ignore it and exclude the back ups from future scans (which will speed up the scan) or you can go into Time Machine and delete the items manually.
