Sophos cannot be installed

Question

I uninstalled the old Sophos on my Mac (El Capitan) and also removed Malwarebytes Anti-Malware, then I downloaded Sophos antivirus for Mac, but it “cannot be installed because of an incompatible product”. And I do not understand which product this could be. Can someone help please?

The installer thinks you still have a previous version of a Sophos product installed. You should use the "Remove Sophos Anti-Virus" program to fully remove the old version, before trying to install the new version.
