Autoupdate with 8.08c not working properly

I have 8.08c already, which should have fixed the autoupdate issues with 8.06. But when I update (with the update that is released every 4 hours), on-access scanning is disabled temporarily and the icon disappears for a minute then reappears. I already uninstalled and reinstalled. Is there anything else I can do?

    What problem are you having with 8.0.8c autoupdate?  It is supposed to disable SAV on-access during an update; this has been standard practice since SAV 4.  Is it behaving differently for you than it did prior to 8.0.6?

    When I update, the menu says "autoupdate not running", then the icon disappears. Then it reappears when the update is done. Prior to 8.06, the icon stayed there the whole time throughout an update. If this is normal then I did not know that. Thanks
