I help out a number of home-based Mac users, all of whom I have running Sophos. I recently had to do a tune-up for a station that I only get to about once or twice a year. I wasn't sure if I'd updated the Mac from Sophos 8 to 9, so I used "About Sophos Anti-Virus" to find out what version was installed. Oddly, it claimed it was Homee Edition 9.1.5. I say that's odd because the one running on my own Mac is 9.0.11. I even removed and uninstalled it on my Mac to make sure some kind of update was failing to install; nope, still ended up with version 9.0.11.
My Mac happens to be running OS X 10.9.3 and the other Mac was running 10.7.5, so I thought perhaps Sophs has a specialized version of Sophos for that OS. But I checked a couple of other stations running OS X 10.7.5 and OS X 10.8.5 -- they are all running Sophos 9.0.11.
So what is Home Edition 9.1.5, and why does it only show up on one system?
