Should I use Sophos inside an OSx VMWare Fusion VM?

I'm running VMWare Fusion on a host Mac with an OSx VM inside it. I already run Sophos HE 9.1.5 on the host. Should I also run it inside the OSx VM? Advantages/disadvantages? I did try looking in this forum and support files but didn't see quite the relevant question. Many thanks.

    Hello glinzer,

    usually a VM is in prectice a separate computer, the host does not look "inside" the VM (e.g. the host provides a disk, which is just a file to it, but does not "see" the guest's file system). Thus unless a VM is completely isolated it should be treated like any other computer.
