Can't uninstall Anti-Virus 9.0.1 for Mac

I noticed my Anti-Virus for Mac Home edition wasn't updating so I tried to uninstall it using the removal app. I got a message saying it had been removed but Sophos and the un-installer still appeared in my Applications folder. Nothing I do seems to make any difference! I'm not particularly keen to go playing in Terminal. Any suggestions?

I'm using a MacBook Pro running OS X 10.9.2.

If you have followed the uninstall process here...

...then can you provide details on what is left over? Without using Terminal and the uninstall script, I'd suggest trying to reinstall SAV again and then running the uninstall again.
