Cannot uninstall Sophos 8

Sophos causes my computer to crash often, usually several times a day. I want to uninstall it, but the Remove Sophos or Uninstall Sophos application is nowhere to be found in my Applications folder. Per other posts and information on the internet, I tried to download version 9, which I assumed would replace Sophos version 8 and come with an uninstaller I could use. But, when I try to do that, it complains that it conflicts with an earlier install or words to that effect.

If someone can tell me how to uninstall Sophos or stop these constant crashes I would greatly appreciate it.

    You should see this...

    If you don't you can try searching for it from Spotlight...

    If it's missing you should download version 8 again and reinstall over the top and then look for the uninstaller again to remove it properly.

    Then run the version 9 installer.

    Note:  You can upgrade from version 8 to version 9 without uninstalling 8 first.  I imagine that the upgrade isn't working because the version 8 uninstaller is currently missing and this needs to be present on the computer for the upgrade to succeed.
