On access scanning disabled

Hello,

For some reason my on access scanning is disabled, I'm not sure why, this has been like it since April but with looking previous I think its time to sort it out. I have a Mac Book Pro.

I've had a look at the AntI virus log this is whats its telling "Fatal Error: The main virus data file is missing
com.sophos.intercheck: Sophos Anti-Virus cannot continue"

Also the last time it was able to do anything :

I don't actually know what to do anymore, do uninstall? I've lots of different that I've read online, but I just think I needed further help!

I hope someone can help me!

Thanks,

Andrea
