According to http://www.reedcorner.net/mac-av-detection-rates/ Sophos 8.0.8C fails to detect some supposedly well know active Mac malware, like "Hellraiser," a variant of "DevilRobber," & a variant of "GetShell" (also known as Mac.Shell). The author provides a link to a downloadable Mac Numbers.app spreadsheet & a pdf file listing his results, including links to VirusTotal entries for each malware item, which should help identify the specific items used in his tests.
Is Sophos aware of these results & if so, what if anything is being done about it?
