Threat found, not in QM; Scan stops due to 'broken pipe' ... what is this?

I've used alot of AV software over the years.  While I like the Sophos front end ... the back end leaves a bit to be desired.  It shouldn't be this difficult to find out that a detected threat actually is ... now should the logs be so cryptic.  It appears to end with multiple messages similar to the below.  I am using v9.0.8.  Thanks.
