uninstalling Sophos

Hi. I "uninstalled" Sophos home edition, using the uninstaller. There were still remnants left. I used an App called "Find File" on my MacBook and found 29 items with Sophos in the name, and deleted all but one of them. The remaining one is called "com.sophos.sav.scan". It's size is "0 bytes". It is said to be located here:

Macintosh HD>private>var>run>mds>com.sophos.sav.scan

It is a daemon. I don't know how to get privileges to open up the "mds" folder.

I would like to remove every trace of Sophos from my computer.

How do I get inside that folder to remove this Sophos daemon?

Thanks for any advice
