Can't get Sophos to work at all! :-(

Dear Sophos Support and user community,

I installed your free anti virus App a week or so ago, and it finds a virus it says it can fix, but then always ends telling me it can't. Further, though the "Find In Finder" button is enabled, pressing it does nothing, so I can't manually deal with it.

Worse still, the App scan continues running all night and finally tells me that it, too, can't complete a scan due to some error.

In fact, when I launch the App, it even says that Sophos has never completed a full scan. I've done this a dozen times... same results

I've tried reviewing your FAQ, video tutorials and other help guides, but don't see my issue addressed.

What can I do, and am I truly infected.

I'm running Sophos 9.0.7 on a new iMac with a 750 GB SSD storage running 10.8.5.

I recently suffered an identity theft that seemed to originate with gMail, and I'd be happy to buy an anti-virus App if I could find one worth while. I have many friends that all are happy with Sophos, but I can't seem to get it to work... at all! I have attached the log file*, and a jpg of the dialoigs I get when trying to run Sophos.

* This email system will not allow me to attach a Sophos Anti-Virus.log file... sorry.
