Calculating...

Hi everybody,

I have relied on Sophos Free Anti-Virus for a couple years now, and have always been happy with it.

In fact, I have also been happy with ClamXAV, which I have paired with Sophos to make me feel very safe.

All has been peachy until just a couple days ago. In the last few tries to 'Scan Local Drives', the scan hangs and just says 'No threats detected' and 'Calculating...'

It refuses to start the scan (even left it overnight twice, to do its thing) and a couple times, has not even wanted to quit 'calculating'...

I uninstalled the entire anti-virus this morning, and reinstalled it from the Sophos site. Same problem persists.

Meanwhile, ClamXav seems to be running just fine. Actually, it seems things with my Sophos stopped working around the time I installed the new ClamXav 2.7.4...

Is there a known clash here? If there is one it never seemed to exist before...

Can these two work together or should I just wave Mark Allan's software goodbye?

I am NOT as tech-savvy as I might sound (!) so please describe a possible solution, layman-style.:smileyhappy: Much appreciated!
