Sophos AV for Mac doesn't show icon in my tool bar

Question

My usage stats show the app is running but there's no icon anywhere on my tool bar. If this doen't work, how do I know anything else will?  Anyone know where the problem is? :1000105

Actually, I've just discovered the "solution" by experiment.  The screen resolution has to be set at 1152 x 720 for the icon to show up in the menu bar.  Why is that? :1000172
