Does/can Sopos schedule a priodic "Scan Local Disks?"

From what I can tell Sophos will only "Scan Local Disks" when initiated manually.

Is that true?

    On the free edition, that is true.  It's one of the differences between the Home Edition and the Enterprise Edition.

    However, I've instructed how to use the AppleScript capabilities to get it to "scan folder when contents change" in a different thread.  You could also use a similar method to schedule a scan.
