Scan Local Drives - filenames only show intermittently

Is there any particular reason why, when doing a full scan of local drives, the window only sometimes shows the name of the file currently being examined?

Also, a couple of hints/requests for enhancements (if this is the right place to mention such things!):

1. Could the full scan progress bar be related to the total SIZE of all the files to be scanned, rather than just a count of the files, so that the progress bar woud relate more closely to the total time the scan will take?

2. Could the window also have the option to show the file hierarchy being scanned and what point in that hierarchy the scan has reached?

Regards,

Nigel

Of course it would probably be useful if I answered the question!

The actual scanning is happening in a background process, and it shows the filenames of files that seem to "take a long time" to scan. Most of the time the filename isn't shown because it takes so little time to scan its not worth the overhead to send it from the background process to the GUI.
