Latest scan date never changes

I am running OSX 10.8.2 on both my Mac computers. One is an iMac the other isa MacAir. When I run a scan the date of the last scan never changes and remaions the date I ran the first scan. Any solutions?

    Do you have network drives or external drives connected when you run your scans?  It's possible that if you do, your default scans never actually complete, but instead time out after the internal drive has completed its scan.
