How do i know if the installation was sucessfull?

    If the installation is successful, you'll get the standard installer successful confirmation, will have the Sophos Anti-Virus.app software in your Applications folder, and will have the S shield icon in your menu bar (not your dock).  To test that it's working, you can download eicar from the web and see if it is detected.
