Can't remove viruses

helpme

I've installed the virus removal tool for the mac, but when i go to the quarantine manager and click on the virus, it just sends me back to the webpage to download the virus removal tool.  Is there something else I need to do?  Thanks.

    Says can't be removed then says remove them manually.

    Can't seem to do it, get into a download loop.

    Don't click on the threat name; that just takes you to the description of the threat.  Instead, click on anything that ISN'T the threat name.

    If you can't remove them, you need to create a custom scan to remove the threat.  There are some good instructions on how to do that on this forum.

    If it's in a Time Machine backup, your best bet is to find the file path, and then locate it inside the Time Machine browser, and delete the backups by hand.
