The only digital nasties I get are email attachments aimed at Windows. I would like to be able to get SAV to delete these automatically as soon as they arrive but even though I have set all preferences to delete threats, I still get a warning and have to go to the Quarantine Manager.

Where/how do I set Sophos to delete or clean things as they arrive?

    Thanks for your interest.

    No, "Preferences -> On-access Scanning -> Options -> When a threat is found: -> Delete threat" does not work. I have it to set to scan inside archives as well.

    I take your point about false positives and changed the preference to "clean up" which should also have the effect of rewriting the Prefs file. I am not expecting this to change anything because I recall I have already tried this.

    So, have I found a little glitch? It was the same in 10.7.4 as it is in 10.8.
