help with mal/obfJS-B

I am "of a certain age" and trying hard not to become a dinosaur.  I am not sophisticated with the mac computer as so many of you are.  I got a warning this afternoon stating that Sophos detected a virus. mal/obfJS-B.  I can't get it removed or cleared.I took a chance and tried to register for more free anti-virus ware on the sophos site that mal/obfJS-B referred me to.  When for they asked for my phone number, I closed the screen and aborted the signup.  I don't understand what to do next to remove the yellow exclamation point from my dock.  Can anyone help me with instructions in very simple language?

I tried to find something on the topic on google and failed.  Thank you for helpin out a senior senior citizen!

    When Sophos detects malware, you need to go to the Quarantine Manager to clean the malware off your computer.  In some situations, this will fail -- such as when the detected file is in a backup or an archive file.  In that case, you should locate the file and remove it.

    In this case, you're seeing a detection for a script on a webpage that is intentionally trying to avoid detection by AntiVirus scanners.  If you can't remove it via the quarantine manager, it will probably disappear by itself shortly (the cache file where it is located will be cleaned up by your operating system).

    To find the Quarantine Manager, click on the S shield in your menu bar and select "Open Quarantine Manager..." or click on the exclamation point in your dock, and then click the yellow exclamation point in the Sophos Scans window that comes up.  Click the lock in the bottom left hand corner to authenticate, and click "clean up threat".  If this fails, for this detection you can just click "clear from list".  If it returns, come back to this forum, as you may need some more detailed instructions, as are available on other threads for this detection.
