Installation in a specific folder and update

I installed Sophos in a sub folder of Applications and each time the auto update runs, it create a new install of the Sophos application in my Applications folder but didn't update or delete the one in my subfolder.

Any idea how to make the update process update the sophos which is my sub folder without creating a new install?
