How to "Disable" or "Able" for "real-time" Protection ?

Hi, I have a basic question but I need a help.......

I am using the Sophos Anti-Virus for Mac Home Edition Ver 7.3.10C and I would like to know the following:

1.  Does Sophos Home Edition have a "real-time" protection?

2.  If so, how to "disable" or "able" real-time protection?

    It's called "On-Access" and can be adjusted in the Preferences (from inside the application or from the menu bar item).  Please also check out the Help menu in the application, as it contains a lot of useful information about the product.
