Mal/JavaGen-D was found !!

Sophos Home AV found the Mla/JavaGen-D from my MacBook Air w/Lion. Per Sophos information, this virus affect Window system. How about OX iLoin?? Do I need to worry about it ?? Thank you.

Mal/JavaGen-D could affect Macs, but currently the malware being dropped via this technique is Windows-only.
Out of curiosity, do you know where the file it detected came from? Is it from an email, or via a link clicked from an email?

I've found this on 2 of my machines. It is installed via Macports and it's a Apache plugin. It's installed under:
/usr/share/java/maven-3.0.3/lib/aether-util-1.11.jar

Hi Agile,
I don't think it came from email. I think it came from some of websites I visited. This is my first time I got virus for my MacBook Air w/Lion; however, this is tellign us that Mac does get VIRUS ! I hope every Mac ower install Anti-Virus program such as Sophos.

If you scan again now, do your Mal/JavaGen-D files still detect as that?

I found this on my MacBook Pro recently and deleted it. It's the first malware I've encountered on a Mac.
I'm absurdly paranoid & careful but I don't know where I picked it up.
