How frequent are virus definitions updated by Sophos?

I connect to my work VPN through Check Point Endpoint Security On Demand. It uses an applet in the broweser that detects if virus definitions have been updated in the last 10 days. It is not allowing me to connect because it says Sophos definitions have not been updated in the last 10 days. However, Sophos says it is up to date. Is it possible that Sophos is up to date, but has not released new definitions within the last 10 days? Version: 7.2.6C, Threat Detection Engine: 3.18.0, Threat data: 4.64, Release date: April 4, 2011, Protects against 2466890 threats

  • Definitions are usually updated several times a day in form of IDEs (in /Library/Sophos Anti-Virus/IDE/). The database (.../VDL/)  is updated once a month though. Sophos has released updates each day (number of IDEs is now 301) so this can't be the cause. Can't say though what Check Point uses the determine compliance (or what can/must be configured that the check is performed correctly).
