complete retina support

hey there,

kind of perfectionistic post, but when will SAV Mac 9.x be complete retina compatible?
its a nice menu-bar icon, but its very pixelated on a retinambp ... not the one i'm proud of to look at daily work, but deactivating it kind of makes it useless due to information-stream.

in the pref-pane, live and web protection are retina-icons, but on-access, auto-update etc... are non retina.

would be geat if you could update it.

annother question: is live-updating now freez-free, on 10.9.2, or should I keep it disabled?

Sincerely,

Chris

Okay, thanks, would be nice to here from you.

So far I've not been able to find out an exact date for 9.1's release to Home Edition, however it will probably be offered as a 'preview' to keen users to gain feedback before general availability.  As I said, I'll post a date when I get one.

I have to overlook some 5-10 macs. is your cloud product inteded for so few macs/pcs, and if "yes", how much would id be for 5 installs, couldn't find a price-overview on your homepage.

For pricing I'd have to defer to Sales (https://secure2.sophos.com/en-us/products/cloud/how-to-buy.aspx).  It is intended for a handful of Macs up to potentially 1000 - or more.  Originally it was aimed at up to 100 computers (Windows only).  Now it supports 100+ with both Windows and Mac supported - and being cloud based it's growing all the time.  However it's ideal for very small networks as you don't need a Windows server and a local database - great for Mac-only environments.  You can take out a free trial and play with just managing you own Mac (one computer) and go from there.  You can control on-access and scheduled scanning as well as device control (e.g., USB pen drives etc.).  I happen to have a (silent) video of installing the local client and then immediately setting up a new central policy for a scheduled scan for a Mac on Cloud so I thought I'd post it...

no freezing here with live-protection activated. how does liveprotection work? is it some kind of "push-update"?

It maybe that the freezing occurs with Web Protection and not Live Protection.  Live Protection instantly checks with SophosLabs (a server) about a detection for the very latest information.  It's additional to the signature detection of regular IDE (identity) files that are downloaded to your computer.  There is in overview in the following article.
