Autoupdate stopped working in 8.0.23 ?

Hi,

Autoupdate does not work from our location since Oct 28.

The version we use on our desktops is 8.0.23, with Threat DE version 3.50.1.

My OS version is 10.8.5

This is what I see in the logs:

As you can see I tried to set up the secondary server option as well, no luck.

I am able to get to port 80 on the IP that I see in the traffic dump of an update attempt.

Any ideas?

    I am not sure which edition I have, I only see sophos running on my desktop. How do I make sure?

    I did try to look for a retirement warning on the forum, I did not go back far enough it seems.

    The linked articles are fine, but by reading them it is not clear (for me ?) what exactly happens when

    people keep using v8 on say a 10.8.x box. Is it possible that the updates stopped working because I use v8?

    I did not see the warning. How was I supposed to receive it, in e-mail?
