Sophos failure to contact primary server

Help !! my Mac running OSX version 10.9.1 Sophos version 9.0.3 has decided not to update or communicate with the primary server ! and a full scan will only run for about 50% of the computer files and takes a full day to get that far. The report states that there are issues , but non specified. Mac running normally otherwise.

  • A previous user of the mac laptop I've taken over had a trial version of Sophos Home Edition and I've tried re-installing the latest version of Sophos HE but it's still pulling the trial account details into my update location settings, so I am unable to update my virus definitions as a result. Any ideas how to change the user name settings to get the auto update to work again?
