Hi,
I'm running a full scan on my internal MacBook hard drive but the scan doesn't complete, I can't see any errors, and when I check the console it says the scan has never run.
Any ideas?
On 10.8, Sophos version 8.0.14C

Hello there.
It seems that some time has gone by since someone reported this issue. I am having the same problem with both a Custom Scan & the built in Scan Local Drives. Has a solution or work around been found? I wish I had a solution..unfortunately, I can only report the same issue. The Scanning Local Drives engine appears to be working (currently it has over 6million items to check)...it gets to a point where it just shuts down and reports that no scan has taken place. I think this point might be when the iMac sleeps.
This is my first scan after installing the software and updating it immediately afterwards. I tried leaving it overnight to do its scan, but came back to find it hadn't completed the job. This is slightly annoying as I had previously removed a competitor's antivirus programme as I had understodd that the Sophos version was a lot better...obviously not so far!

I am quite surprised that Sophos is having this issue and that it is still going on. I have used & managed Sophos in the company I worked for, for years and I was quite pleased with its performance. It's a shame that no one has corrected this issue.
I am having this problem as well. I downloaded sophos yesterday as it was recommended by lifehacker as brilliant. Am getting very frustrated! Twice the scan has just disappeared part way through and the third time it seems to get stuck and not move on, I've been trying all day as well as last night and haven't even made it half way yet. I hope this update is coming very shortly or I will be looking for other software.
I am afraid I have already gone over to using Avast as the Sophos scanner appears not to be working correctly and continues to tell me that there two threats, even though I have dealt with themthrough the quaranteen manager. Not very impressed, sorry.
