Scan still running

Hi All,

             new here.   I downloaded Sophos for Mac Home Edition yesterday and it is still scanning, that is so far 17 hours.  Any help would be most useful.

    We'll likely need more information, but solutions that have worked for others on these forums (searchable via the search box) have been disconnecting network shares and external storage devices.  If one of these works, adding that item to the exclusion list of a custom scan should allow you to scan the rest.  Then, create a custom scan which only scans the device giving difficulties.

    Do you know what file the scan is stalling on?  What OS version and Mac are you using?  Are you using a time capsule?
