Free download came with threats?

I downloaded the current version to two machines running 10.7.3 and both identified two threats that loaded with the download?  They did clean and were not there after rescanning, but this looks like it if fishing for maching passwords that you need to unlock the clean tab?  Is this what others are seeing?  Each download occurred and five hours apart and the threats were identified at those times?  or were these there from some time agos and flagged at the scan?  Thanks.

    congratulations - very cunning scheme (hopefully not a sign of  excessive paranoia :smileywink:).

    Seriously - Sophos isn't an obscure newcomer operating out of some remote shack. Nevertheless one should be careful. Make sure you download directly from Sophos and you can also verify the download against the MD5 published here.

    Likely the threats were items from the past (and perhaps not targeted at Macs) but nevertheless picked up by the initial scan. As they have been subsequently cleaned up it's no surprise they don't reappear.
