Thanks for responding. Understood your message well enough to be satisfied with one copy of Sophos. Parallels creates a Windows directory on the (mounted) OSX hard drive. Starting Parallels causes Windows to start. Shutting down Parallels causes Windows to shut down. When Parallels is executing, I can see OSX files from inside Windows, and vice versa---and I can drag files between them. FYI.
