Are there some ways to delete the spy software and protect my account?

My World of Warcraft account was recently hacked and I've run scans with the following and all have come up clean:
Hitman pro
Malwarebytes
SuperAntiSpyware
Doctor Web
CIS
I am still paranoid to log in, though I'm puzzled because I think I would have gotten an alert from Defense+ if I had a spy software( I didn't download any untrusted softwares. So it must be a remote spy software which was installed by others.)

Are there any special ways to detect/remove it? Even though the evidence points to my computer being clean, I am just too paranoid to believe that.

  • This message was likely produced by a spambot -- it has nothing to do with Mac AV software.

  • Hi, susie. Since the evidence points that your computer is clean, I think you need not too nervous. And in my experience, some spy software are invisible and undetectable, if you want to delete them, you can follow the following steps.

Step 1 Open the Activity Monitor to check for unknown process. This system tool will allow you to view the programs (processes) currently running on your computer.
Step 2 Check and Research any unfamiliar processes running in your “Activity Monitor.” Critical system processes sometimes have unrecognizable names, however, and spy software may have a name that sounds legitimate.
Step 3 Download and install a  detector or another software firewall. This type of mac software alerts you when another program tries to connect to the Internet. It will detect a spy software before it sends information over the Internet, and allow you to block it.
    Hope it help.
